Get to know your violin maker.
Since 2018, I’ve worked to provide instruments and repairs to musicians of all levels across Kentucky. Raised in northern Virginia, I began cello lessons at the age of 8 and later moved to Lexington and attended Lafayette High School.
After high school, I attended the University of Kentucky, graduating in 2013 with a B.A. in Strategic Communications and Art Studio. While at UK, I traveled across the country competing all four years on the track team in the sprints.
After graduation, I enrolled at the Violin Making School of America and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in 2014. I studied under Aubrey Alexander and learned the foundational skills that go into violin making.
Returning to Lexington in 2018, I set out to put my training to use offering handmade violins, violas and cellos. I’ve since developed many great working relationships with students and teachers of all levels across the state.
As a member of the Violin Society of America, I enjoy engaging with colleagues and finding opportunities to learn more in order to provide the best possible service for my clients.
I live in Lexington, KY near Southland Drive with my wife, Lindsey, our Bernese Mountain dog, and three cats. Outside of the shop, I love my early morning runs, UK athletics, cooking pizza and enjoying our pool.
